In October of 2014, God began to raise the curtain revealing a bold new vision for Greg and Eliana Marksberry’s life and ministry. Greg was serving a large, noteworthy church as senior pastor, in the region of Kentucky where he was raised. Eliana was passionately engaged in children’s ministry and raising their three children. It was safe and comfortable, but after 26 years of marriage and ministry, God was only setting the stage for a brand new mission adventure, and they both could sense it!

 

After a year of gaining greater clarity on their calling, the Marksberry’s partnered with Orchard Group and Florida Church Partners to lead a new church plant in the fast-growing area of Orlando known as Lake Nona. Greg and Eliana are humbled and grateful to be on mission with such great partners and are sold-out to the story they believe God is writing through this new church. The story of a life-giving new church called Thrive that is on mission to transform the next generation by helping all people, especially children, thrive in life through a thriving relationship with God. “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice” Proverbs 29:2 NIV.
