In 2015 God began revealing a bold new vision for Greg and Eliana Marksberry's life and ministry. Greg was serving as the senior pastor of a mega church in Northern Kentucky. Eliana was passionately engaged in children’s ministry and raising their three children. It was safe and comfortable, but after 30 years of marriage and ministry, God was setting the stage for a brand new mission adventure and they both could sense it!

 

In January 2016 the Marksberry’s partnered with Orchard Group and Florida Church Partners to plant a new church in a growing area of Orlando known as Lake Nona. After building a core group of believers to start the church, Thrive Church officially launched on September 24, 2017 at the newly built Innovation Middle School. Greg and Eliana are humbled and grateful to do life on mission with such a wonderful congregation and remain sold-out to the story they believe God is writing through this young church. The story of a life-giving church helping people to thrive in life through a growing relationship with Jesus as disciples who make disciples. “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice” Proverbs 29:2 NIV.
